you can watch "why" at: https://frydemo.forumotion.net/general-discussions-f1/lighting-challenge-on-cgtalk-t53.htm

This was calculated for a glass of a window of 2cm of width.
And the parameter of "Roguhness" gives you the possibility to make the projection more diffuse or more exact .In my scene more than 5 in the value of Roughness made the projection completely undistinguible...But a vulue of 0 makes the proyection too much clear and detailed which is not so indicated for your scene in this contest...Or maybe yes? You should try it and make some tests.
A test in my scene with this final material and with a value of 1 in "Roguhness" parameter and 2'5cm of width of the stained object glass. (It's a fast test).
This will force you to turn on some emitters along and inside the scene because a stained glass don't let pass through enough light inside your scene...
Regards.

Maybe it would even be more intresting if I coudl add some volumetric effect to the light beams...You know...The each part of the light beam was tinted in all its travel till it tints the floor with its projection...
If someone knows how to make it...Please, post it.
Regards.
