I had some spare time last night and whipped up this little scene.

The water looks at first sight a post-composition but...No...this is not a post-composition.

It's really original and has a perfect quality finishing.

How long and what hardware was rendered with?

I made two curved surfaces: the lower has a sand texture and the upper is a ghost glass with water bumpmap applied.
That way the impression of a wave is made.

I rendered this image on my laptop (core2duo) and it ran for 4 hours.
