Does a correction camera exist for Fryrender-cameras?
Hi.
Does anybody know if something like "correction camera" exist for the Fryrender cameras?
Thank you.

There is no lens curvature option in present Fry One version to alter the bulge (convex or concave) if that is what you are looking for.
Fry does support a 'shift film' option however, to be found in the camera settings for setting up better parallel views.
It makes you shift the lens in the x and/or y direction.

Ok...Thank you very much.
I was looking for the second answer.

You're welcome
In order to use the 'shift film' feature correctly, you need to set the cameras 'eye height' and its 'focal point' at the same elevation .
That way, panning the frame will keep the vertical plane perpendicular to the film plane and your image will be perspective corrected.

I need the same but with the camera at another height from the target.
Hi again!
Can anyone help me?
I need the vetical edges parallel but mantaining the difference of heights between the camera and its target.
The lens shift theoretically works or at least it's told there but I don't know after a few tests if it's definitely possible.
What it's told in the manual:
Does anyone understand the explanation given?
Regards.

Re: Does a correction camera exist for Fryrender-cameras?
it means you have to shoot the building straight, without deforming the edge (the vertical edge must be parallele to the picture vertical edges, then you'll probably won't see all the building, probably miss the top if it's high. Then you use the shiftlens to compense. like x:0, y:-15 should make you see the entire building.
note : what you'll see on the viewport will be different of what you see in the render when using shiftlens : shiftlens doesn't affect the viewport.
hope it's clear... if not, just try, it's simple to use!

I've tried before I posted again my doubt...And nothing.
Hi!
Thank you for your answer but I've test it a few times and I know how does it works...
My problem is something like the opposite: instead of being looking towards the top of a building I'm making a product viz image and I wanna put the camera position over the target camera like you can watch at the image I've linked right now:
http://randomcontrol.com/images/randomcontrol/gallery/tmp/252b37dd540b3c78738f1c0a127def9e.jpg
I'd like avoid this non-parallelism between the vertical edges. With vRay I can avoid this (and I know that is not real avoid this effect) but I was wondering if I was making something wrong or there's no possibility to avoid this.
For example, another case:
http://randomcontrol.com/images/randomcontrol/gallery/tmp/29b275e826931271dc0495f7c44b0ffa.jpg
Here you can watch the nearest two vertical positioned batteries: their vertical edges are not parallel. I know that this how in the real life you see but with shift lens I think this can't be avoided.
Anyway in any of my tests looking to the top of a big rectangle I haven't reach the desired effect like in the manual explanation we can read. This is why I think: "Does it really work?"
Have you tried? Have you made any test and confirm that you can solve this "problem"?
Regards.

Yes it works, yes you can make it. just remember than the shiftlens values can be positive OR negative...
