Nice animation, it should be a way in sketch up to make smoother paths...
It where 2 things i liked very good, the render of course and when the camera flys under the leaves Smile

Thanks guys Smile
I posted this animation just to get the gallery section going...

@Stromberg,
True, Sketchup needs better camera path smoothing.
Whaat (developer of Skindigo) is working on a script that will take care of that.

@Antisthenes:
Franz, Bongo is a Rhino Plugin. Can Bongo export an animation to be rendered using Fry?
Compared to the Cinema4D animation tools, Bongo looks a bit limited.

Hi Ckosio,

Welcome to the forum.
The water surface has a default 'thin glass' preset material applied with a bump map.
Here's the bump image used:

Render time: I let it render for 90 seconds per frame @640X480.
So, for a 25 fps* animation, it rendered 25X90=2250 sec/60 = 37,5 minutes render time per animated second.
By consequence,a 10 second animation took about 6 hours to render.

*fps= frames per second.

biebel,

Thank you.

Are you still having a problem on exporting heavy scene with materials? I downloaded the demo in fryrender website thinking that they already updated it but no luck. I'm still having problem with the exporting. I put layer blending and materials plus a 30mb model...but sketchup crashed everytime I export. I tried it a lot times and restart my computer but still no luck.

Do you have the file "fry_su.dll"...coz I think I have the old one.

Thanks again.

@Pjetrus,
My current rendering machine is a octocore MacPro 8 Gb RAM running Vista 64.

@Ckosio,
I posted some anti-crash tips (mostly for animation) HERE
Lets hope animation gets more stable in an updated release.
Can't help you with a Fry .dll file , sorry.

Great animation, the post edition video is quite awesome. Good work!

Im new using fry, I've never try an animation using fry, and the reason to be honest is because I dont know how to do it. Is there a tutorial about animation in fry?

Cheers Smile
